Why ceramic matters here
Cotton wicks scorch, and a scorched wick is the single most common reason a customer returns a cartridge. Ceramic holds heat more evenly and does not develop a burnt taste if the coil is allowed to re-saturate between draws, which is why it has become the default for anything handling thick oil.
Cartridge or disposable – which to stock
Cartridges suit customers who already own a battery and buy on refill economics; they are cheaper per unit and the 510 thread means no brand lock-in. Disposable pens suit customers who want nothing to configure and will pay more per unit for that. Most accounts stock both and let the customer choose.
